and know that you are God; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.”

*Hymn       You Servants of God, Your Sovereign Proclaim             TNCH (Black) #305 You ser-vants of God, your Sov-ereign proclaim, and pub-lish a-broad that won-der-ful name:The name all vic-to-rious of Je-sus ex-tol,Who, sov-ereigh and glo-rious, now rules o-ver all.

God rules from on high, al-might-y to save,

And still God is nigh, whose pres-ence we have.

The great con-gre-ga-tion God’s tri-umphs shall praise,

As-crib-ing sal-va-tion to Je-sus al-ways.

Sal-va-tion to God who sits on the throne!

Let all cry a-loud for what God has done.

The prais-es of Je-sus the an-gels pro-claim,

still veil-ing their fac-es, they wor-ship the Lamb.

Then let us a-dore and ren-der God’s right,

All glo-ry and power, all wis-dom and might,

All hon-or and bless-ing with an-gels a-bove,

And thanks nev-er ceas-ing and in-fin-ite love.

*Invocation (in unison):  We give you thanks, O God, that you have called us to this place to hear the promises of your holy word; to be immersed in the font of your grace; and to drink from the cup of your blessing.  Draw us deeper into your presence and send us out to love and serve; after the manner of our Savior, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

*Hymn       Dear Lord, Who Loves All Humankind                                     HoTL (Red) #275

Dear Lord, who, loves all hu-man-kind, for-give  our

fool-ish ways. RE-clothe us in our right-ful mind, in

pur-er lives thy serv-ice fid, in deep-er rev-erence praise.

In sim-ple trust like theirs who heard, be-side the

Syr-ian sea, the gra-cious call-ing of the Lord, let

us, like them, with-out a word, rise up and fol-low thee.

O sab-bath rest by Gal-i-lee! O calm of

hills a-bove! Where Je-sus knelt to share with thee the

si-lence of e-ter-ni-ty, in-ter-pret-ed  by love.

Drop thy still dews of qui-et-ness, till all our

striv-ings cease; take from our souls the strain and stress, and

let our or-dered lives con-fess the beau-ty of thy peace.

Breathe through the puls-es of de-sire thy cool-ness

and thy balm; let sense be dumb, let flesh re-tire: speak

through the earth-quake, wind, and fire, O still, small voice of calm.

Prayers of the People – Sharing Joys & Concerns –

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father (Creator, Mother) who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom

come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread,

and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us

not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom and the power,

   and the glory, forever. Amen

Lead me Lord, lead me in thy righteousness, make thy way plain before my face.

For it is thou Lord, thou Lord, only, that makest me dwell in safety.

*Hymn       Won’t You Let Me Be Your Servant?                                  HoTL (Red) #374

Won’t you let me be your servant, let me be as Christ to you?Pray that I may have the grace to let you be my ser-vant, too.

We are pil-grims on a jour-ney, we are trav-’lers on the road;we are here to help each oth-er go the mile and bear the load.

I will hold the Christ-light for you in the shad-ow of your fear;

I will hold my hand out to you, speak the peace you long to hear.

I will weep when you are weep-ing; when you laugh, I’ll laugh with you.I will share your joy and sor-row till we’ve seen this jour-ney through.

When we sing to God in heav-en we shall find such har-mo-ny,born of all we’ve known to-geth-er of Christ’s love and ag-o-ny.

Won’t you let me be your ser-vant, let me be as Christ to you?Pray that I may have the grace to let you be my ser-vant, too.
