*Call to WorshipLeader: Like Moses we gather at the mountain of God.People: We have traveled here seeking the holy mystery.

Leader: A glorious cloud of wonder surrounds us.People: God’s presence shines upon us with transformative light.

Leader: Christ is revealed to us in radiant love.People: Open our eyes so that we may behold his glory.

*Hymn    Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!                                                      R. #10

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee;holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty;God in three persons, blessed Trinity!

Holy, holy, holy! all the saints adore thee, casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;cherubim and seraphim, falling down before thee,God ever living, through eternity.

Holy, holy, holy! though the darkness hide thee, through the sinful human eye thy glory may not see;only thou art holy; there is none beside thee, perfect in power, in love, and purity.

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty! All thy works shall praise thy name in earth and sky and sea;holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty;God in three persons, blessed Trinity.

*Invocation (UCC Worship Ways, Adapted)

Leader: God who invited Moses to come up the mountain to receive from you….

People: We invite you to come among us and receive from us.

Leader: May we become more whole…..

People: As we wait in confident expectation of the deepening of the love that is shared between us.

All: Come, Holy Spirit, come!

*Hymn   We Have Come at Christ's Own Bidding                                                B. #182 We have come at Christ's own bidding to this high and

holy place, Where we wait with hope and longing for some

token of God's grace. Here we pray for new assurance

that our faith is not in vain, Searching

like those first disciples for a sign both clear and plain.

Light breaks through our clouds and shadows, splendor bathes the

flesh-joined Word, Moses and Elijah marvel as the

heavenly voice is heard. Eyes and hearts behold with

wonder how the Law and Prophets meet: Christ, with

garments drenched in brightness, stands transfigured and complete.

Strengthened by this glimpse of glory, fearful lest our

faith decline, We, like Peter, find it tempting to

remain and build a shrine. But true worship gives us

courage to proclaim what we profess, That our

daily lives may prove us people of the God we bless.

Prayers of the People – Sharing Joys & Concerns

Our Father (Creator, Mother) who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen

Lead me Lord, lead me in thy righteousness, make thy way plain before my face.

For it is thou Lord, thou Lord, only, that makest me dwell in safety.

Invitation to Offering  (UCC Worship Ways)

This is the moment we’ve been waiting for. The space and time where we get to give back to the Holy One out of that which the Holy One has given to us. The wait is over, now let us offer our time, talent, and treasure with joy! Amen.

Offertory   The Peace of God                                                                         Robert Lau

Praise God for all that love has done; Creator, Christ, and Spirit, One. Amen

*Hymn Go, My Children, with My Blessing                                                             B. #82

Go, my children, with my blessing, never alone;Waking, sleeping, I am with you, you are my own;

In my love's baptismal river I have made you mine forever,Go, my children, with my blessing, you are my own.

Go, my children, fed and nourished, closer to me;Grow in love and love by serving, joyful and free.

Here my Spirit’s power filled you, here with tender comfort stilled you;Go, my children, fed and nourished, joyful and free.
