Gracious God, you are the God who is and was and is to be.

Give me a deeper sense, as I move through this day, of what it means to say

that you are my “Alpha and Omega,” my A to Z. Amen

*Hymn We Walk by Faith and Not by Sight R. #424

We walk by faith, and not by sight; no gracious words we hear from Christ who spoke as none e’er spoke, who still we know is near.

We may not touch Christ’s hands and side, nor follow where Christ trod; but in confessing we rejoice; our Savior and our God!

Help then, O Christ, our unbelief; and may our faith abound to call on you when you are near, and seek where you are found:

That, when our life of faith is done, in realms of clearer light

we may behold you as you are, with full and endless sight.

Prayer of Reflection and Growth Spirit of Serenity – You tell us, “peace be with you,” but we set that peace aside to live with drama and chaos. We are drawn to highly emotional situations instead of the peace that only comes from you. How can we set aside turmoil to live within your realm of peace? When we cannot sense your holy tranquility surrounding us, open our souls to your warm and calming presence. May we embrace your peace and scatter serenity into our world. Amen

Assurance of Grace The God who walks with us scatters the seeds of grace behind us and before us, allowing us to understand the future with healing and hope. Amen!

Prayers of the People – Sharing Joys & Concerns
Community Prayers/Responsive Prayer/Pastoral Prayer

Lead Me Lord

Lead me Lord, lead me in thy righteousness, make thy way plain before my face.

For it is thou Lord, thou Lord, only, that makest me dwell in safety.

*The Doxology

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;

Praise God, all creatures here below;

Creator, Christ, and Spirit, One. Amen

*Prayer of Dedication (spoken in unison)

May the gifts we share today create a Church of grace and a Community of love. Amen

*Hymn I Danced In the Morning (Lord of the Dance) (vs. 3-5) R. #206

I danced on the Sabbath and I cured the lame,

the holy people said it was a shame:

they whipped and they stripped and they hung me on high,

and they left me there on a cross to die.

Refrain:

Dance, then, wherever you may be; I am the lord of the Dance said he.

and I’ll lead you all, wherever you may be,

and I’ll lead you all in the Dance, said he.

I danced on a Friday when the sky turned black,

It’s hard to dance with the devil on your back;

they buried my body and they thought I’d gone,

but I am the Dance and I still go on.

Refrain:

They cut me down and I leapt up high;

I am the life that‘ll never, never die;

I’ll live in you if you’ll live in me;

I am the Lord of the Dance, said he.

Refrain:

*Blessing

*Sung Benediction Go With Us, Lord R #336

Go with us, Lord, and guide the way through this and every coming day,

That in your Spirit strong and true our lives may be our gift to you.
