Silent Prayer
Holy One, we come before you from different perspectives. Some come in a spirit of celebration. Others bring lament and despair. All of us benefit from the power of transformed lives, individually, relationally, and communally. We pray in the assurance that new life is available. We ask for the strength, courage, and persistence to seek your kin-dom, peace, justice and righteousness in any and all circumstances and for all people and creation. Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father (Mother, Creator) who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy
kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our
daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass
against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the
kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen
Lead me Lord, lead me in thy righteousness, make thy way plain before my face.
For it is thou Lord, thou Lord, only, that makest me dwell in safety.
Invitation to Offering – The Holy One gives gifts beyond measure or compare. The Holy One gives with abundance and generosity. The Holy One has provided for every need and invites us to ensure equitable, faithful, and mutual sharing so that no one needs to experience a lack of resources. Let us give from the well of abundance to honor God’s faithfulness and to demonstrate trust in God’s provision.

Communion Liturgy
Pastor: O Holy One, Breath of Life, Originator of Grace, Source of Limitless Love - You call us by name and break down the walls that make us strangers to ourselves and one another. WE are the Body of Christ. Around our tables, we re-enact our faith. These are the tables Christ prepares for us, the feast God imagines. This is the Peace that Passes All Understanding, the Peace found in the sharing of a simple meal. In the UCC, our tables are open to all who desire to live in the peace that Jesus the Christ shares, whenever two or more gather together in love.
Deacon: God be with you.
All: And also with you.
Deacon: Lift up your hearts.
All: We lift them up to God.
Deacon: Let us give thanks to God most high.
All: It is right to give God thanks and praise.
Deacon: Renew us, O God, with your Spirit, and bless this bread and cup that, as we share them, we may be the Body of Christ.
All: Amen
Pastor: When Jesus and his disciples were eating the Passover meal on the night he was betrayed, he took a loaf of bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body that is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, he took the cup after supper and said, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.”
Through the broken bread we participate in the body of Christ. Through the cup of blessing we participate in the new life Christ gives. All are welcome at Christ’s table. The Bread of Life and the Cup of Blessing to all!
Prayer of Thanksgiving
All: Thank you, God, for calling us and gathering us together to remember your continual presence among us, and for nourishing us to go out and be the Body of Christ in the world. Amen!

Sent forth by God’s blessing, our true faith confessing,

We welcome our Monteux Student Musicians, Genevieve Wrobel (Oboe) and Lily McCormick (French Horn).
Gennavieve is a third-year Doctoral student in Oboe Performance at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where she studies with Professor Linda Strommen. She earned her Master of Music degree from Indiana University and previously completed a Bachelor of Music in Woodwind Performance at Florida State University, along with minors in Music Entrepreneurship and Classics.Throughout her academic career, Gennavieve has performed with a variety of university ensembles, local ensembles, chamber groups, and student-led organizations. She is a recipient of the Jacobs Fellowship Scholarship and has maintained a strong record of academic excellence throughout her graduate studies. In addition to her performance and academic work, Gennavieve is actively involved in arts administration and music education. She serves as the Department Assistant for the Jacobs Oboe Studio, works in the Jacobs School of Music Scheduling Office, and is the Administrative Assistant for the Jacobs Virtual Academy, a program dedicated to expanding access to music education throughout Indiana. These roles have allowed her to develop a broad understanding of both the artistic and administrative aspects of the music profession. A passionate performer, educator, and advocate for arts accessibility, Gennavieve enjoys sharing music with a wide range of audiences and students. Her long-term goal is to combine performing and teaching at the collegiate level while remaining active as both a performer and educator.
Lily is a French Horn player based in Columbus, Georgia. She is a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, studying under the tutelage of Patrick Hughes and is currently pursuing a Masters of Performance at Columbus State University under Dr. Anne Marie Cherry. She has recently won the 4th Horn position in the Albany Symphony Orchestra in Albany, GA. As a freelance horn player, Lily has played in various settings such as solo recitals, church venues, and professional brass quintets. These include the First Baptist Church of Austin Brass Quintet and The St. Luke Methodist Church Orchestra and the Cedar Park Winds. While in the Austin, TX area, she provided private lessons for high school and middle school students, alike. With a passion for emotional connection through performance, she prioritizes breathing life into her playing. Lily has explored many avenues of music making in her life including playing piano, guitar, and singing. All of these endeavors have lead to an enriched, well rounded musical experience. She has attended the Southeast Horn Workshop, where she performed with the Schwob Horn Choir, Midsouth Horn Workshop, where she performed with the UT Austin Horn Choir, has attended Cormont Horn Camp, and is currently attending the Monteux Music Festival.
