Join Zoom Meeting

Meeting ID: 839 3635 9115            Passcode: 776780

The first pew in front of the pulpit has books and quiet activities for people of all ages.

Please find something that suits you, take it to your pew, and return it after the service.

Silent Prayer

Redeemer and Guide, we travel with you because you never leave us. Yet, sometimes we drift on the path of life. Rather than holding fast to what is good, we compromise with evil. Rather than persevering in prayer, we dwell in anger, rage, and conspiracies. Rather than sharing our blessings and pursuing hospitality, we hoard the resources you have given us to share. Help us to live in love and harmony with one another. Empower us to pursue peace for all. Let us overcome and overwhelm evil with good. Amen

* Call to Worship

One: Beloveds! People of God! Followers of the way of Christ!

All: Let us tell the truths we need to hear.

One: Let us listen and remember the wisdom that sustains us.

All: Our hope does not come from thrones of power.

One: Neither wealth nor control will secure our hearts’ desires.

All: What satisfies is already among us.

One: Through acts of love and solidarity, the richest gifts of life are revealed.

When God is enfleshed among us, there is no greater joy, no deeper delight.

All: Thanks be to God, the source of all that nourishes.

* Hymn      Love Divine, All Loves Excelling                                                              B #43

Love divine, all loves excelling, joy of heaven on earth be found,

Fix in us a humble dwelling, all your faithful mercies crown;

Jesus, you are all compassion; pure, unbounded love impart.

Visit us with your salvation, enter every trembling heart.

Breathe, O breathe your loving Spirit into every troubled breast;

Let us all in you inherit, let us find your promised rest;

Take away our love of sinning; Alpha and Omega be.

End of faith, as its beginning, set our hearts at liberty.

Come, almighty to deliver, let us all your life receive;

Suddenly return, and never, never-more your temples leave.

You we would be always blessing, love you as your angels love.

Pray and praise for your unfailing, wounded arms out-stretched above.

Finish, then, your new creation; pure and spotless may we prove;

Let us see your great salvation perfectly restored in you;

Changed from glory into glory, till in heaven we take our place,

Crowned as saints, we ever shall be lost in wonder, love and praise.

* Invocation (in unison)

O God of the morning and of the evening hours, let your Spirit come on us here gathered. This is the holy place where we, your people, call on you in faith, joining heart and voice in thanksgiving and praise to your name. Amen

* Hymn      We are One in the Spirit                                                                      R.  #386

We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord,

We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord,

And we pray that our unity may one day be restored:

And they'll know we are Christians by our love, by our love,

Yes, they'll know we are Christians by our love.

We will walk with each other, we will walk hand in hand,

We will walk with each other, we will walk hand in hand,

And together we’ll spread the news that God is in our land:

And they'll know we are Christians by our love, by our love,

Yes, they'll know we are Christians by our love.

We will work with each other, we will work side by side,

We will work with each other, we will work side by side,

And we'll guard each one's dignity and save each one's pride:

And they'll know we are Christians by our love, by our love,

Yes, they'll know we are Christians by our love.

Prayers of the People – Sharing Joys & Concerns –

The Lord’s Prayer

   Our Father (Mother, Creator) who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy

   kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our

   daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass

   against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the

   kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen

Lead me Lord, lead me in thy righteousness, make thy way plain before my face.

For it is thou Lord, thou Lord, only, that makest me dwell in safety.

Invitation to Offering – As a spiritual discipline, generosity demonstrates our commitment to the kin-dom of God in a tangible way. When we share our resources, we proclaim our trust in God’s abundant provision, our concern for the condition of our neighbors, and our responsibility for the maintenance and care of our community. Let us give generously to the good work of God’s church.

Offertory             My Comfort by Day, My Song in the Night                        Gilbert Martin

* The Doxology

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise God, all creatures here below;

Praise God for all that love has done; Creator, Christ, and Spirit, One. Amen

* Prayer of Dedication (in unison)

Holy One, we present these offerings to you in hope and love. May they be a gift in our community and the world. May they spread hope and love. And, may they witness to your abundant and generous creation. Amen

* Hymn      Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee                                                                R. #7

Joyful, joyful, we adore thee, God of glory, Lord of love;

hearts unfold like flowers before thee, opening, to the sun above.

Melt the clouds of sin and sadness, drive the dark of doubt away;

giver of immortal gladness, fill us with the light of day!

All thy works with joy surround thee, earth and heaven reflect thy rays,

stars and angels sing around thee, center of unbroken praise.

Field and forest, vale and mountain, flowery meadow, flashing sea,

chanting bird and flowing fountain, call us to rejoice in thee.

Thou art giving and forgiving, ever blessing, ever blest,

wellspring of the joy of living, ocean depth of happy rest!

Source of grace and fount of blessing, all who live in love are thine;

teach us how to love each other, lift us to the joy divine.

Mortals, join the happy chorus which the morning stars began;

God’s own love is reigning o’er us, joining people hand in hand.

Ever singing, march we onward, victors in the midst of strife,

joyful music leads us sunward in the triumph song of life.

* Benediction

* Sung Benediction  Go With Us, Lord                                                                 R.#336
